Allan Gray’s client base is comprised of institutional investors, principally retirement funds, medical aid schemes and endowments, as well as individual investors.
Allan Gray offers their clients the option of investing through either, segregated accounts or collective investment funds.
Alan Gray’s individual investment solutions are made up of; three retirement products, four offshore mutual funds and an endowment.
The retirement products are:
- Retirement Annuity (before retirement)
- Preservation Funds (before retirement)
- Living Annuity (during Retirement)
The four offshore funds, managed by the Orbis Group, are:
- Orbis Global Equity Fund
- Orbis SICAV Japan Equity Fund
- Orbis SICAV Asia ex-Japan Equity Fund
- Orbis Optimal SA Funds
The endowment offered by Allan Gray is aimed at investors with medium to long-term objectives wanting powerful capital growth and after-tax returns.
Since 1978 Allan Gray has been managing the assets of institutional retirement fund clients on a segregated basis. To qualify for segregated fund management the minimum fund size is R500 million.
Institutional clients include; government, semi-government and corporate pension and provident funds.
Life pooled portfolios have been added to Allan Gray’s services to accommodate clients whose funds do not meet the R500 million minimum. The life pooled portfolios include; three risk-profiled portfolios and five asset class specific portfolios.
